To all at LVS and to all who knew Farron,

Thanks so much for all of your thoughts, prayers, and kind words. It is good to know how much Farron will be missed not only for her crazy personality but for her knowledge as well.

Farron had a tremendous impact on my life and I will deeply miss her. She was my soulmate, my better half, my partner in crime, an imp, a scamp, a princess, an artist, and a true blue friend, among many other things, and I feel as though a part of my very being has been torn away. I miss seeing her sitting at her computer working with her students ans so does “The Cat”!

When Farron started with the computer, I never thought she would go as far with it as she did but as she was fond of reminding me: “Thats what you get for thinkin’!” with an Eloisian smirk! She loved having fun and I know that she would not have worked as hard as she did learning her computer skills if she didn’t enjoy it. (Even though she had to learn vectors! I remember the cat howls on those classes!) She was very proud of her accomplishments, but she valued her friendships with all of you at LVS much more than her own accomplishments. Thats just the way she was.

Farron, thank you for the love you gave, you will be missed.

I am saddened to hear of Farron’s passing. I was lucky to be in several classes with her, laughing at her antics and admiring her wonderful work. She was a loving and talented lady, and will be greatly missed. My prayers go out to her family and her fellow instructors at LVS.

Farron,

I’ve had the pleasure of being one of your students and when I heard the news today, I shed a tear for us. No, not for you, as I know you are in a much better place now, at peace with everything and not hurting. I shed a tear for us, for those that never knew you and for those that were touched by your life. I will never forget all of the wonderful posts you left, all the examples you gave. Hopefully, in some small way, your coding will live on in the pages I hope to design in the future. Be at peace, my friend.

Ohhhhhh, dear Farron. Though we really didn’t know each other all that well, I still remember our wonderful emails back and forth re you posting my class evals. What an awful time to become an angel and my heart goes out to your loved ones and the loss they must be feeling during this Holiday Season. I do hope they can read our feeble words of sympathy and find some comfort in the fact that you were loved and will not be forgotten.

This page is a beautiful tribute to you and your life, Farron and, in looking at your photo, the pictures and all, I can only say that I regret your passing and the chance to know you better.

I’d like to close with these words, paraphrased, (which I put on my father’s headstone):

NO WOMAN IS INDISPENSABLE, BUT SOME ARE IRREPLACEABLE!

My LVS friend, may you rest in peace and free from pain, knowing that you were loved and will be missed by so many!

I will not forget you Farron. It was through you that I learned what I needed to refine the coding I had done in order to keep my web page going. Thank you for all you taught me. You will be dearly missed by all who knew you.

Those lovely photographs that Farron took, the Pink House she would never live in, the pride she took in her work and her too early death bring these lines to mind. So sorry never to have met you Farron .

Farron, we miss you today and will miss you for many, many moons to come. We know that you’re in a much better place now (doing your own dance of life with Eloise no doubt) and hope that the lessons you learned during your life time will help you on your future paths You taught many students the value of good coding and those people will help others to achieve the same high standards. Those students will be moved to teach others and so the circle continues. Ripples continue out from the epicenter…Farron, you were most definitely one of those at the very center of that epicenter.

We celebrate your sense of humor, although it may be through tears for now, those memories bring smiles to our faces and joy to our hearts..

Your obvious joy of life and learning will live on in the hearts of many, many people. Though your physical body may be gone, your spirit has not died and never will. It lives on in all the folks that you touched over the years both before you joined our LVS Family and during that time.

Be at Peace, my friend, and know that you live on in our hearts.
