We will miss you Farron

Farron in Mexico

Farron departed this earthly life on November 25, 2007. She was a great asset to LVS, not only because of her knowledge, but because of her willingness to help others. She was truly appreciated here at LVS by her friends, her colleagues, and her students. Her kindness and sense of humor stood out. We will never forget you Farron.

This page is dedicated to the memory of Farron and to those of us left behind who miss her.

Farron loved to be creative - and she loved Eloise. Farron was young at heart and had a sort of whimsical nature. Below are some fond memories of Farron and some of her special creations that helps to depict her life.

Eloise

I am Eloise. I am six.

I like to be spoiled rotten, rotten, rotten and treated like the little princess that I am.

I lovvvvvvvvvvvvvvve room service.

I also love to pester my nanny and my mentor (ahem, I mean) my tutor. I can drive them wild, wild, wild!

Sometimes I throw a temper fit…..
…but not very often.

Yawwwwnnnn, I am growing bored, bored, bored with this conversation. For more information about my favorite subject (ME), go here and maybe here as well.

Regards,

Eloise

Farron loved going to the Gulf Shores. Upon one of her returns she expressed her attachment to a “pink house”. Below is one of her articles about it.

Endings or Beginnings?

We had been thinking about and looking around at real estate and areas that we liked while we were here. Part of the *life goal* around here is to move the Cathouse to the beach. We had become extremely attracted to an area called Little Lagoon. It sits on a strip of land that is only 3-4 house lots wide with the Gulf on one side and the pretty little lagoon/lake on the other…NOT a swamp. :-)
The day before we left we found a little house that we both felt at home with at once. A block from the beach and about a half a block [or less] from a private community fishing and crabbing pier. It doesn’t look like it is in the cards right now, but you never can tell with us…and I haven’t quit pestering the real estate agents with my usual four hundred and thirty eight questions yet. [All who have had me as a student will now be sending out a large sigh in sympathy for the poor fellow…haha] Thought you might want to peek:

Pink House

We have been humming John Cougar Mellencamp’s “Little Pink Houses” ever since we saw this one. Hum a few bars for us for luck. *grin*

Here’s a shot of the beach access that is one block away. Note the lack of crowd??

Dock

Now this was taken on a warm, sunny Saturday, mid-morning in May. Agent TOLD me there weren’t big crowds down at this end. Looks like that might just be true. *grin*

Farron took some fantastic pictures of scenery and nature - but she was also great at taking pictures of unusual things as well. Below are some of those:
